I wrote 2000 words today and I'm about 99.99% certain that I'm about to go shove them all in my Bits and Pieces folder because they aren't right.

Blast.

Also, damn.

We had mayhem. Sharp, shadow butterflies and poison rosary beads. Kidnapping. Chasing. Climbing and falling out windows. Fear so swift it knocks your knees out from under you.

And yet. I'm having issues with my second POV character and his voice. Probably because my primary POV has such a strong voice. Strong and freakish.

I did like these similes. This, because it's simple: "The Dark Boy scales the side of the house with his fingers splayed like a toad’s." And this one, because it's cool (in context. It might not make sense out): "The shadows drip off of him like water as he builds his glamour."

MY GOD I need a Thomas icon.

"Le Disko" by Shiny Toy Guns is my new favorite song. I can't stop listening to it! It came to me via a fabu CD by the brilliant m_stiefvater called "Homicidal Faerie Mix." The song is quirky, uber sexy, with a great beat and fun lyrics... but I thought... not much homicidal about it. Until lucifershalo pointed me toward the video.

I wish I hated politics. But I do hate the media circus that comes up with this shit. REALLY?!?!!? They reported this on MSNBC for chrissake. MS-fucking-NBC. Not just FucksOX.
